The royal and princely state Bikaner was founded by Rao Bika from where Bikaner got its name. The temple within the premises are Har Mandir devoted to Laxmi Narayan combination of Lord Vishnu and his wife Laxmi and royal people used to worship here. Ratan Behari Temple reflecting the Indo-Mughal architecture and other one is Gaj Mandir. The palaces include Chandra Mahal, Anup Mahal, Phool Mahal, Ganga Mahal and Badal Mahal.
